3D Services for Automotive Industry
At Thinkscan we can provide full services from 3D Scanning through to CAD Reverse Engineering and 3D Printing. Thanks to our experience we utilise the 3D scan data as main reference to fully redesign existing components or even fixing broken parts such as bumpers car door, plastic accessories etc. We also provide 3D Photogrammetry and Rapid Prototyping Service using our range on HP Multi jet Fusion 3D Printers ideal for creating batch production of functional components with high-grade of post finishing.

Car bodywork 3D scan
3D scanning a car bodywork can be a delicate task especially if the main goal is to keep a good dimensional accuracy. Our non-contact 3D scanners work in conjunction with Photogrammetry which helps to preserve the overal accuracy: typically the dimensional accuracy is around 0.02mm/m.
